Maria is a Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy, and maintains a private practice in Victorville, California. With over twenty-seven years of counseling experience and a graduate of Bowie State University specializing in Guidance Counseling and Adolescent Behavioral Health, she is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of
expertise are anxiety, depression, and women's issues. She had an Equine Assisted Psychotherapy program for over ten years, serving young people on probation. In addition to being a prominent therapist, and adjunct professor at Chapman University, Maria has presented at conferences and to general audiences speaking on the topics of self-care, burnout prevention, and youth-at-risk. She is an interactive, cognitive behavioral therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
